Chemical pink eye

Chemical eye injury is due to either an acidic or alkali substance getting in the eye. Here are some chemical pink eye symptoms: Redness in the eye, irritation, mild pain in the eye, tearing. More serious symptoms: Eyes getting very red and the eyes swell more, severe pain in the eye, blurred vision. When inflammation occurs, small blood vessels within the conjunctiva become more prominent, giving a pink or reddish cast to the whites of the eyes. Pink eye is highly contagious and the same cotton should not be repeatedly wiped over the eye, or used on both eyes. Someone who has pink eye in one eye can also inadvertently spread it to the other eye by touching the infected eye, then touching the other eye.
